I look more at offers than stars.  Arkese Parks for example on rivals is just a 2 star guy has offers from Georgia, FSU, Michigan, LSU...to name a few...what a joke that is.

Better than all of them except UCF.

We do have to keep in mind that recruiting rankings are not all they are cracked up to be.  We had a couple of guys drop from 4* to 3* after they committed to us.  A recruit gets points for being recruited by and committing to P5 schools over G5 schools, and big schools like Alabama instead of less big schools like Cincy.  So it is really hard to say whether UCF had a better class.  Though they probably did, it probably isn't nearly as big a gap as the recruiting pundits have us ranked.

Absolutely true.  It's a self-fulfilling prophecy that is used to keep the powerful winning in this part of it.

I bet if the  all of the high 3 stars we signed were going to BAMA or Georgia they would get SEC tax added to their ranking by at leat one star booster.

I gotta say, for a program that looked like it was dead and buried, any proof of life is welcome.  Perhaps CAG has pull the greatest turnaround since Lazarus.

Just like preseason rankings.

Well, there are ways to compare schools... for example, USF is also #1 on the list of teams that moved from I-AA to I-A since 2000....  #5 of schools in Florida... #4 on list of schools with a shade of green as one of their official colors but #6 for teams with gold as a color... #7 on the list of "teams that played in the Big East at some point" ... #2 of all team playing in a "bay area"... #3 of all teams with "South" in their name... #22 on the list of animal mascots that are mammals,  #2 on the list of cattle ...

😉  😉  😉  😉

I like to compare things to where they want to be, being number one in the G5 doesn’t really matter if it’s a well below all of the p5. The P5 inclusion provides necessary context in terms of value.

Basically for USF you are going to need an additional star next to all of their recruits. They get an extra star for making the smart choice on choosing USF imo

But aren't well below all of the P5.

Apparently USF is on a whole other level. Tons of G5 schools hate USF while rumors are swirling around regarding a USF invite to one of the so called power conferences…
