What a job! After a 3-5 start with losses to FGCU, South Dakota and Drake - to this point? Just outstanding! Where would we be without the ladies teams at USF? They continually carry the water - basketball, soccer, softball and now volleyball.

It would be a cool thing for them to show it on the scoreboard after the women's hoops game.

For the record, though, FGCU won the ASUN and went to the NCAA's. South Dakota and Drake both went to the the NIVC, with Drake making the Great 8. A little foreshadowing for this team would have been the great game they had early in the loss to UF.

Ladies should be playing in an exciting environment tomorrow. UTEP VB plays in their old basketball arena and had almost 3,300 for their last NIVC game against Clemson. Should be at least that tomorrow.

• Common opponents this year, Tulane & UNT;
  • UTEP played Tulane once, sweeping (20,15,18). Bulls played Tulane once. Won in tiebreaker (21-25, 25-23, 25-16, 24-26, 15-9)
  • UTEP played UNT first round of NIVC, won 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 17-25, 25-20). Bulls played UNT once, lost 1-3 (27-25, 17-25, 31-33, 23-25)
