USF athletics always seeks to maintain homeostasis.  Football achieves a bowl game and volleyball had a good year, so WBB must have a down year to compensate.

WBB down year much different from other sports down years

Last 20 seasons: 18 post season trips. 1 year no postseason due to Covid. 1 down year.

Yeah, even without Sammie we are WNIT good at minimum (and maybe NCAA good).

While Sammie is an upperclassmen and a world class shooter, I'm not sure if she would fix the issues they are experiencing right now (ball handling and turnovers for the most part). She would help some with the rebounding. Think she averaged 4 or 5 per game last year???  I trust Jose will have them improved come conference time but may not be what we're used to.

It's a great atmosphere. Sammie is working out. Coach said he worked with her Tuesday. Still no timeline. More bad news. Emma out with severely sprained ankle for an extended period.
