Guessing alot of students just sat in shade. Still turnout for them probably wasn't great.

Last home game was FAU and wae the best attended in the g5 that weekend, 36k+

Place was popping actually

I am guessing that game let the air out of a lot of folks tires

We have a core of 20ish k or so on average who will show up no matter what

If we want to get another 20k off their butts we need to be playing meaningful football and/or notable teams

And in Tampa if you have a REAL winner, you can even get ANOTHER 20k

People were reselling their free tickets 💀

Yeah, stadium would be better, instead of claiming them at the start of the season

They used to do that before we outgrew the capacity in 2007. My first home game as a student was 2007 vs. Elon. After we beat Auburn we had to stand in line at the Sun Dome to get tickets for WVU. Fun times.

I would say keep it where it is. They've done well in parts throughout the season. You can't exactly blame them after we pooped the bed vs. FAU. Hopefully, there's a solid turnout vs Charlotte, and once we get to a bowl game I expect demand will pick up substantially.

USF Tampa is a school of 35,000+ and can't even get 2000+ students (just 5.7% of total students) consistently at every game regardless of opponent. Let's say there were 200 students at today's game, that's about 0.57% of the total student body.

- How is that possible for Division 1 football on a Saturday afternoon??

- Noon is TOO early? No.

- 85-90 degrees is TOO hot? No.

Florida and Florida State average between 80,000-90,000 fans and last I checked, it's hot there too.

Just extra info: UCF's attendance has increased 6.18% from 41,542 last season in The American to 44,109 this season in the Big 12.

UCF's 5 year average: 41,324
USF's 5 year average: 32,972

UCF is 97.37% of stadium capacity
USF is 64.40% of stadium capacity

I feel like this horse has been beaten to death

We need an OCS and a winning product.

Both are being addressed, thankfully.

The game was against temple... can't expect many students to show up to a glorified scimmage at noon on a Saturday...

Good point considering we’re at our highest level of support ever.

No one ever said you had to stop beating the horse after it dies. It can be therapeutic.

Just tell the fraternities and sororities that attending USF football games will give them credit towards their charitable contributions that they have to make for their respective chapters.   You will see them show up in droves.   Better than seeing them stand on street corners with donation buckets and looking like homeless people.
