Colley Matrix has us ranked 83! I know it's an imperfect system but there are aspects of it that are good and at least directionally accurate. 

 

20. Bama L

39. Memphis

66. Temple (WTF)

79. Rice W

81. WKU L

83. USF

98. Navy (I think they're better than this)

107. Charlotte

120. UTSA

124. UAB

128. FAU

135. UConn

 

The point is, for me, we are out of the basement. At least for this week. A lot of this conference is still an enigma to me. UAB did way better than expected against UGA for example. FAU doesn't seem THAT bad. Charlotte didn't get blown out @UF. Navy is a favorite. But this visual is interesting and gives me hope that we can land in a bowl game this year. Just maybe. 

But I like that we are headed the right way and that I can go into Navy not expecting to get my soul destroyed.

This is encouraging! We are playing schools for the majority of the remainder of the season that are ranked lower than us!

Still has us ahead of 4 teams and if we can "upset" UAB or FAU that's, again, a bowl game. 

We shall see!

FWIW, The Athletic (paywall) has us ranked 69th. We jumped 27 spots with the win over Rice.

We beat Rice. Lost to teams better than who rice beat and lost to. The fact they are ranked above usf is kind of silly. This is why I don't put any faith or worth into the Colley matrix.
