Cinci made the playoffs as a G6 and that's when it only had 4 spots. Not only does the new format has a GUARANTEED spot for a G6 team, but has an option for 2 G6 teams to make the playoffs. If you win, the money will come no matter what conference you are in. Now I'm not saying that it will be P5 money, but if you are winning the G5 will eventually come calling.

it has happened 1 time. Will a G5 get in, sure. Will they have the players and depth to win in the playoffs. I highly doubt it. It can happen in sports like basketball, but I have my doubts that is possible with football.

1 time in a 4 team format.

That number should rise in a 12 team format.

There will be a G5 team who will win the playoffs. It will be tough to go all the way, but there will be team who will win in 5-12 matchups.

if we stay in G5 and G5 still gets a guaranteed playoff spot then we will make the playoffs before Vandy or Rutgers. Heck I'd bet even before UCF

Ultimately, the worst mistake we have ever made was going to Adidas. Since then everything has gone downhill including our brand value 😂

Exactly! As a G5 coach, you can still recruit players that want to go to the playoffs. Hell, we have an easier path to the playoffs.

mk and pres law have done nothing to get us in  a better conference to my knowledge

are you saying you would rather be in aac than sec or big 10?

we will never make the playoffs in aac

So 11 playoff spots designated for ~60 of the “Have” programs, and 1 playoff spot designated for the remaining ~75 “Have Nots” programs?

If the 12 team format that begins in 2024 remains in tact, then I would not say never regarding USF making the playoffs.
