It does seem that way. We already know it isn't an absolute requirement because NU is still in the conference and the Big Ten would have taken ND without AAU status (no longer an issue). 

Everyone keeps talking about the Big Ten taking any number of ACC schools, but that ACC GoR is a significant hurdle (or at least appears to be). Which makes sense, because it was crafted precisely to avoid such a scenario. 

Even the mere slim (and I do mean very slim) possibility of USF getting an invite to the Big Ten makes the moustache very, very nervous... I love it.
