It's the official mag of the alumni association. Usually it's a feel good story about something academic. Athletics gets a page or 2. This time it's front and center. 

Nothing earth shattering. Fun Q and A with coach. Stuff about facilities. Cheerleaders. WBB. Probably some of it is gaining support and buy in for the stadium.

My prediction is we won’t win or lose anything for 3 plus mos so take a step back and reflect on the extensions of the coaches and provide us your thoughts on that topic.

Feel good articles do nothing If they are  not followed by a winning culture and improvement on the field.

I am still waiting on my copy, takes a while to get here.  Things are so bad that I cannot even fall for the hype anymore, and I used to be such an easy mark.

So what do they do if they ARE followed by a winning culture and improvement .... nothing. It's just a simple magazine article. It's not supposed to DO anything but provide some enlightening reading material.

They talk about the things they are doing to win, whay they need to improve  on, thank the fans/donors for their support, say the job isnt done, and winning makes everything more enjoyable.
