Works for me! He’s had a year to recharge. Not 100% sure, but I think he may have family in the area, and who doesn’t want to retire to Florida?

Got to do something to get MBB going…

Go Bulls

Regarding Jay Wright, why would he sully his fabulous reputation my taking the worst job in college basketball?  Plus he gets to wear his great suits on TV for now.

We'll either end up with an up and coming assistant coach with perceived potential and no name-recognition or a re-tread who was successful in past jobs, but his career is trending downward.   Our program is cursed, we can't have nice things.....

I respect and like him and he is slowly building a nice career, but he doesn't have the right experience at this point in my opinion. Too much of a risk. If he wasn't a Bull he wouldn't be on nobody's radar.  Need to go with a proven winner.

Will the Bulls go for a proven name or a promising youngster?

Good article on tbtimes. Some bad options but some good ones too

For those that argue that a move by Dusty May from FAU to USF would be a lateral move because they will be in the same conference; I couldn't disagree more. Teams are not always equal. We have better facilities, and will possibly soon be in a major conference ( fingers crossed).

Same way a coaching move from Boston College to FSU would not be a lateral move even though both would be in the same conference, or a coaching move from UCF to Oklahoma State wouldn't be a lateral move  even though both would be in the Big 12.

USF would be an upgrade compared to FAU.

I would be 100% behind the  hiring of Rick Pitino assuming he would come here, and Mike Kelly would offer him a job. That being said my next choice would be the guy from Umass. My sister is pretty high up in the administration there and she couldn’t talk enough good things about him and how much they like him. He’s fiery and aggressive. And will bring a welcome spark to the program after nice guy but  milk toast Gregory
