@RickyTheBull Thanks for getting that there early for the photo. Literally brought tears to our eyes. Great group of young women, coaches and support staff.

Your wife gets most of the credit when they go out there tonight and smoke ECU by 20+ points!

Thanks all. First follow up with surgeon tomorrow. Trying to get her in the minivan should be exciting since I got a cortisone injection in my shoulder today. Will have to think smarter - not my forte.

All my fellow Bulls fans out there, please keep the Mrs in your thoughts and prayers or karma (whatever you believe in). She was in a pretty serious accident yesterday, had some surgery yesterday with more to come tomorrow. Won't get into all the details since I've been running on empty for the last 36 hours. Foot (heel) and wrist fractures. Appreciate it.

Will be thinking of her and the best to both of you in the days/weeks ahead.

Doctor visit went pretty well. Removed the splints from wrist and ankle/foot. X-rays. Saw doctor and then casts were put on. Got her in the van pretty well going but then on the way home we couldn't remember what we did going and had a heck of a time. But we made it home. Wrist will be in cast for 6 weeks and the exterior pins/wires will stay in foot for about that long but the cast is for another few months afterwards on the foot. One day at a time.

An update. Went to see the surgeon today. Took casts off wrist and foot to get a look how they are healing. Wrist looks good and stitches were taken out. A new cast was put on to give the thin bones more time to heal.

The foot looked okay, not great. Took some stitches out but left some in as there was some blistering. But he said it does not look infected but wants to look at it again in a week. The woman doing the casts said this will be a long, long process for the foot.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
