Tulsa is the only school within a game of us in the conference standings. if we split with them, and beat everyone else, they can't catch us. I would think a win tonight, and a 2 game lead on them will make it tough for anyone to catch us. Game is on ESPNU at 5, by the way.

Game time is at 5 p.m. ET and the game can be seen live on ESPNU. South Florida will also face Memphis on the trip on Saturday 8 at 3 p.m. ET. (ESPN+). The Bull, who finally cracked the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Top 25 Poll on Tuesday, comes into Wednesday's game 18-4 overall and 7-0 in The American – good enough for first place in the AAC standings. The Green and Gold look for their ninth straight win and their 12th victory in their last 14 games. Elena Tsineke is averaging a conference-best 17.2 points per game on the year and leads three players on the Bulls' roster in double figures after her 21-point effort against Central Florida on Jan. 22. Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu is not that far off the pace dropping in 16.3 points per game and 12.4 rebounds per outing, with her rebounding average tops in the conference. She is coming off an impressive 18-point, 13-rebound performance against the Knights. Sammie Puisis rounds out the double-digit scorers netting 16.1 points per contest while Carla Brito falls just shy averaging 8.8 points per game. Aerial Wilson is second in the conference in assists (100) and assists per game (4.5). Tulsa comes into its game against the Bulls with a 15-4 record and a 5-1 mark in The American – and sitting in sole possession of second in the conference standings – following its 77-72 loss to Tulane on Jan. 21. The Golden Hurricane had won seven straight games before the setback to the Green Wave. Temira Poindexter is one of four players averaging double-figures on the season for Tulsa, netting 15.9 points per game. She is followed by Maya Mayberry and Maddie Bittle who are averaging 11.9 and 11.3 points per contest, respectively. Delanie Crawford rounds out the double-digit scorers averaging 11.0 points per outing. Poindexter is also leading the Golden Hurricane on the glass, grabbing 5.9 rebounds per contest. Following its meeting with Tulsa, South Florida heads to Memphis to face the Tigers on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET (ESPN+). The Bulls will return to the Yuengling Center on Jan. 31 when they take on East Carolina at 7 p.m. (ESPN+).

I hope we see them build off of the thrashing of UCF. Cut down the turnovers and get meaningful minutes and contributions from the bench. In the bigger picture, all of our remaining games are must win if we want to increase the chances of finally making it to the second weekend of the NCAA tournament. We have to win out to have a hope at a top 4 seed and hosting a regional. That needs to be the goal given how well the team has played at home this season. They use local pbp folks, although looking at the pregame it looked like they were remote. 41-31 good guys at the half.

Hope that last shot of the half bodes well for her in the second half. Dulcy is simple incredible down low.
