While I'm not crazy about the hire (would have rather had Herman)  this may not be a bad hire.  I think he can keep the offense humming (if he can bring in a couple of recievers) and I'm feeling confident BJM will come with him back to USF and fix the defense.  

 

Both are strong recruiters and they have a lot to sell USF on now with the new focus on athletics.

I haven't seen anything he is a good recruiter. 

But if he can bring in BJM or a top DC from G5 ranks and and a good defensive staff on paper has good potential possibly.

Who we hire as DC will determine my feelings on this hire. If he hires say FAUs defensive staff...this will be a F hire.

After sleeping on it, still don't care about Chadwell.  Not sure if I would have felt better with Tom Herman in HC.  It doesn't move the needle for me, so it's wait and see mode.  Still going to Bama, UAB, and Navy next year.

Also, they pussed on Leavitt.  Hopefully it works out.
