well one is from Arcadia and the other is from Russia but other than that it's hard to see the difference

this guy ran a top 10 (#1 this year) offense for the last 2 years with a QB that was 4th string at Va Tech.

Scott never ran anything at Clemson.

Wasn't Clemson a top offense? Know it was a co OC but still. And Scott was a top recruiter. I'm hoping it is a good hirer but on first blush it looks similar. Some of MKs keys were head coach experience (but not a deal killer) and FL recruiter.

difference being a co-oc and THE oc.

He helped take Tenn and totally turn them around in 2 years. He is their play caller.

They were the #108 scoring offense the year before he got there and now are the #1 scoring offense in 2 years.

He turned a 4th string va tech castoff into the #2 QBR rated QB in the country.

Scott was at clemson for over a decade and never called plays.

Sorry but I think there is a huge difference.

We shall see. Like I said I hope he works out. Head coaches don't always call plays so is Heupel no good because this guy called the plays?

I never said heupel is no good. Clearly he is very good. the two aren't mutually exclusive

Golesh is obviously a very good OC. a very good play caller. something you could not say about our last hire.

Time will tell if he is a good HC.

I'm optimistic

Exactly. I kept saying I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Then I told her to hold me. I hope this hire works out.

but this seems to be a case of trying the same thing over and expecting a different result.

They call that insanity.
