Clemson fans and national media said essentially the same thing about Scott. Not saying Golesh won't end up being a good hire, but this seems to be a case of trying the same thing over and expecting a different result.

Three coaches with head coaching experience were hired here and failed miserably.  Leavitt was an assistant when he was hired here.

Please explain to me how hiring someone with head coaching experience is not trying the same thing that failed before.  We are 50% successful with assistant coaches, which is more success than we have had with HCs with experience.  But do go on.

Interesting ....... but kinda the opposite of some of what we've got here, isn't it? People not "at the game" but pretending to be fans?

Co DC. Hopefully USF saved a ton by not hiring the splashy hire in order to put money towards the DC

Well, the term has really evolved into the equivalent of a fair weather fan.  Pretending to be supportive when the team is doing well so they can part of the in crowd, but not being real fans because they bail when things are not going well.

That is exactly what os happening here.

Do kind of get that ...... but looking at that the original definition, hell, those would be great category for us. Give us your money, don't care if you're a fan or not.

difference being a co-oc and THE oc.

He helped take Tenn and totally turn them around in 2 years. He is their play caller.

They were the #108 scoring offense the year before he got there and now are the #1 scoring offense in 2 years.

He turned a 4th string va tech castoff into the #2 QBR rated QB in the country.

Scott was at clemson for over a decade and never called plays.

Sorry but I think there is a huge difference.

you guys are putting lip stick on a pig

how can he recruit? no one ever heard of him
