I kinda felt the same. I felt sad reading the article. It had to happen though.

Had he done the right thing and resigned and saved USF $$$$$$, I would feel grateful.
But at this point… good riddens!!

Does anyone have any faith in VPMK making an even serviceable hire? If so why? How can the leadership care about athletics in any fashion while allowing him to continually demonstrate that he is the single worst athletics decision maker in the history of collegiate sports. I can’t wait for the full buyout information to come to light so we continue the path of being outraged at every VPMK decision while for some reason tolerating him, I’m sure this time will finally be different though as eventually a blind squirrel has to accidentally find a nut…

No faith in VPMK here!!  He part of the problem!

I said I wouldn’t post again unless we won a game.  This is too big.  I really wanted Jeff Scott to succeed here.  Really.  Nobody likes starting over.   But it just wasn’t getting any better.  Players got better, but this team did not.  It’s for the best.  I hope he succeeds somewhere not as an adversary to USF.

Shoops gone too - good

Everyone needs to show up for SMU. We got our wish. The right thing happened. We have seniors on this team looking to finish with some dignity. Show up.

Yup. Losing to Temple this season like that was a major fireable offense. I wish both coaches better success on their future endeavors

So happy that this nightmare is over.

Deion is a pipe dream, though.

Great another rebuild, three more years of losing.

To be fair we have not stopped rebuilding since CWT, so the proper phrase would be “the rebuild continues with another name on the plaque”, haha.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
