The story is wild, in that no scandal. Steve was mad about his contract, heard the AD just got an extension, so Steve went to the President to ask for an extension, then got fired.

It is always an interesting power dynamic in Athletic Departments, who is the most powerful person in the department, AD or head coach of top revenue sport (MBB or Football).

For sure!  We'll always have that ***** Pill Tourney trophy, so we can hold our heads up high and proud.

The CBI was significant at the time, because if you looked at the teams that had won it in previous years, the majority of them built on it to bigger and better things. We, obviously, did not. Seems to be a trend, huh? Football (No. 2), baseball (Super Regional), softball (CWS), etc.

You forgot the biggest one: In 2014, Rocky won the Capital One Mascot Challenge.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
