What would you do?

It’s December 1, 2016, we haven’t hired Charlie Strong yet. What would be the one thing you wished USF would have done or could have in possession? Examples - Finished Facilities,  hired a different coach for 2017, OCS, more contributions from us, etc..

 

My answer is indoor practice facilities.

Hired a different coach…someone like Deion. We need a coach with swagger and a little cockiness. We seem to Ike hiring the boring/conservative coaches.

On that date we hired a loser, then we hired a winner that became a loser. Then we hired a guy as @Rex Havoc said, had a little swagger and a desire to find a way to win. Now we're back to sleepy sales/con artist that doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground.

Give me a Willie Taggart and his ego/WINS any day of the week.

Hired a different coach that continued the system, even TJ Weist.

This is why CF has been able to maintain through 3 different coaches. They aren't upending their program every 3 years like we are.

Let’s say we keep Taggart some how, can he continue to produce results and garner better recruits for the years ahead. I don’t know how he did at Oregon with recruiting and how much was because of him and not the school.

Something we are very good at. Would have been nice to have progression on areas we were ok/good at.

No way of knowing, but IMO, it goes back to my theory that most coaches have a ceiling on coaching ability. WT's ceiling seems to be AAC. Strong's is defense. Skippy, in college, seemed to be CUSA. Jeff Scott plain out sucks. It's easy to recruit/coach at Clemson where you're only catering to 5*'s.

Facilities, OCS, contributions combined with Chuckles still would have led us to where we are today
