Louisville's 8 possessions ended: punt, touchdown, turnover on downs (goal line stand), punt, punt, interception, interception, fumble, turnover on downs.

So the Cardinals were inefficient, and had some questionable play calling (running on passing downs for example) and the Orange capitalized on mistakes.  It could have been worse as Syracuse had 18 penalties.

It could have been "first game" rustiness as well.
