It doesn't matter if we lose 3 games in OT we are not making any progress. We are just better at losing. To turn a corner we got to BEAT FBS teams and  along with the FSC teams.

I usually try to read a complete post before responding, making sure I understand what their point is ...... but that's just me.

Have to disagree there. Three OT losses would be a huge step. To me, the turning of the corner begins with beating your own kind at a rate of more than .5 of one per year. Playing competitively in those 3 games would be a great sign but I think it's going to take the full season to see if the corner's been turned

I think the reasonable among us would completely agree with you, but if the casual to mid-level fans are going to buy back in and get us cooking again, there needs to be a splash.

My point losing 3 ot games is not growing you are just getting slightly better at losing. Now if you win 1 in Ot and lose two in Ot then you are making progress.

I agree with Dave, yes we have one FBS team in the last couple years but asking us to beat 1 of the first 3 is not too much to ask.  They are better than us but far from world beaters.  BYU at home and Louisville are winnable, UF not so much.

I can agree with looking at it from that angle ....

Well if you don't beat two fbs teams this year then zero progress was made. Realistically if we don't go .500 then need to turn the afterburners up under Cjs.

I get this rate of progress is unacceptable of two fbs wins in a season is a  complete failure especially considering all the hype made about this year  and culture improvement ... I want the guy to succeed and go undefeated. I just  have not seen anything to make me think Jeff Scott is the guy to lead us to a huge season.

I updated this cartoon in honor of all the exuberant positivity on TBP lately. No more spilled glass in the last frame (for now at least). 😏🤘
