I just read on footballscoop.com that our beloved Skip Holtz was announced today as the head coach of the Birmingham Stallions of the rebirth of the USFL. The season starts April 22 of this year. Should be interesting to see how well Skip does leading this team.

From what I understand it is city name but none of the teams will play in the city the fist year. They will all be in the same stadium…in Texas I believe.

In Birmingham, that new off campus stadium is getting plenty of use.

Ahh…yes, thanks. Interesting, I wonder if people will have a hometown connection when none of the games are in town? I believe I heard this is only temporary but makes you wonder how much cash this league really has (even with a tv contract).

I thought they ended up at Birmingham . . . haven't seen anything lately.

I thinking keeping it all in a single location will help save money while building it.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
