I thought USF would have provided a depth chart, but since they did not, I decided to make one final depth chart. I removed all of the colors since we are officially ONE team. I did highlight who I know will play this year. I think this is one of our deepest teams yet.  I even made an effort to place the DBs, kickers and special teams which is probably my least knowledgeable part of football. I counted 33 transfers total on our team and here is the break down:

P5 19
G6 3
Juco 4
FCS/D2 7
Total 33

Has Battie been returning punts this summer?

I figure if he is returning kicks he might as well return punts. I should have threw Sean Atkins in the mix.

Weaver returned them last year. Is there a reason he wouldn't be doing it again this year?

WEll if he is catching 1000 yards this year.  He needs some rest and not risk getting hurt on returns. WE got Battie,Horn, Joiner, Dollison, Atkins,  and Dukes to return punts and kicks.

I would think like Outlaw said is they want to keep him healthy.

For that reason I don't think I'd have Battie returning punts then. Too valuable as a kr ....

Ready for the official depth chart to answer these questions.

Last year Weaver returned 90% of our punts while being an important part of the offense, think they'll keep going with the best option. Kids probably like it because that returning versatility may help their NFL chances.

I would think he would do both, but I guess for punts you need somebody more "sure handed" since you are catching in traffic. Maybe they stick with a Weaver or Jimmy Horn.  I rather they use Horn or a Sean Atkins. I really want Weaver to stay Healthy. This year, if we actually can pull it off, I want this team to be greedy when it comes to points.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
