Holy crap! Man I've got some serious green and gold short term memory because I can't believe it's been that long for a top 20 win. Ouch... Not saying it's easy or taking it for granted but that's quite the time span.

I’m thinking the vast majority of those 18 losses were far from what one could classify as a “giant” ….. which makes it even more crazier. I’m guessing the meager number of losses we had in 2016 and 2017 were probably to ranked teams.

Yep. Maybe decades down the road USF football will be...how to phrase this....hmmmm..."what we want". 'Cause the way things are shaking out FBS wise, I don't see it on the horizon. However, maybe, maybe, we might could claw our way back to the level we enjoyed* in the early Big East era. Still gotta work on that whole W/L ratio thingy.

There was limited opportunity those seasons.  The only real possibility would have been the FSU game and the defense was not up for it.

It is true that some of our fans tend to wax nostalgic too much about the past but I think this should be saved as a response to those hit and run artists we have who feel compelled to dump on those who bring up said past.
