Yikes that doesn't look good.

VS RANKED - CINCINNATI HIGHEST RANKED FBS FOE TO COME TO RAY JAY

When No. 2 Cincinnati comes to Raymond James Stadium it will mark the highest ranked FBS opponent ever to face the Bulls in Tampa and equal the highest ranked FBS foe USF has ever faced.

The Bulls previously faced a No. 2 ranked team when the 2002 squad - in just its third season of FBS action - traveled to Norman, Okla. to face No. 2 Oklahoma, falling 31-14.

The previous highest ranked opponent to come to Ray Jay is No. 4 Florida State, which downed the Bulls 30-17 in 2012.

The highest ranked foe beaten in Ray Jay is No. 5 West Virginia, which USF downed 21-13 in an ESPN Friday night primetime game in 2007 on the Bulls way to reaching the No. 2 ranking in the nation.

USF is 1-2 vs. FBS top 5 ranked foes, but also owns a victory over a No. 1-ranked FCS foe as the Bulls downed No. 1 Troy State, 20-10, in Ray Jay during USFs FBS transition season in 2000.

USF is 11-33 all-time vs. FBS ranked opponents, with its last win coming on Oct. 28, 2016 in a 52-45 victory over No. 22 Navy in Tampa. The Bulls have lost their last 11 matchups with ranked foes and are 7-17 at home. USF has not beaten a Top 20 ranked opponent since a 23-20 victory at No. 16 Notre Dame in 2011 and has lost 18 straight Top 20 matchups.

I'm having a Zach Collaros in Tampa feeling.

CINCINNATI SERIES

Friday will be the 18th meeting in the series as Cincinnati is USF’s most faced foe in 25 seasons of football. The Bearcats own an 11-7 lead in the series and have won the last three straight, breaking a string of three-straight USF victories from 2015-17. The teams have met every season since 2003, which was the first meeting of the series with a 24-17, doubleovertime victory for USF in Tampa. Six games have been decided by eight points or less, including a 20-17 victory for No. 17-ranked UC in their last trip to Tampa in 2019. USF has the most lopsided win, posting a 65-27 rout at Ray Jay in 2015, part of three straight games USF won by an average of 31 points between 2015-17. This will mark the eighth meeting that at least one team has been ranked. USF has been ranked four times and UC will be making their fifth appearance ranked.

That's kind of a cool stat.  We really need to get on the mend pronto...

It's worth noting that they need to put style points and a ton of extra TDs on us too to make it look good for the playoff committee.  Could be bad!

That a huge upset and biggest win under Scott. The teams and coaches would have to step up immensely.

The refs might be on our side since the CFP committee would love to have Cincinnati out of the playoff picture

But what about all the money you are saving for Raiders tickets? Can we hear more about that?

Yeah that would be a supremely epic win in the lore of USF.  I was just hoping we could beat Tulsa.
