Well, I can look at what he did on the 3 previous drives.  He would not have decided to air it out suddenly... when all he would have needed is a couple first downs.  He would have had mixes of runs and passes... just like the previous drives.  He most likely would have placed a priority on burning clock over scoring again... as he had been doing all of the 4th quarter.

This is true... Good coaching 101 is that you run on 1st, if you get decent yards, you run again, if not, you burn your whole play clock and adjust your focus to getting a 1st down by any means.

Maybe, but I also feel he would have passed it a few times. But who knows really?

I mean the final score sort of shows the results of this decision

The defense shows the results...we should NEVER lose a game when we score 42 points...

DC and staff all need to go....no excuse for a team located in florida to be so bad on defense.

Do you not account for the short field special teams/coaching gave their offense almost every series???  I’m no fan of the defensive performance but you can’t lay this loss solely on them…

A cursory look at the FAU defense in 2019 and it looks decent enough.

Are you kidding me...Hou averaged almost 10 yards per play...thats a first down every time Hou ran a play. They certainty did lose the game for us...no question in my mind. Putting this lose on Scott is comical.
