What is the definition of west in this country? Like technically that portion is called mid-west. That logic tells me that there is either a near-west (or east-west), a mid-west (central-west), and a far west (or west-west).

On3's Andy Staples discussed the proposed mega-conferences on his show recently, and there were quite a few notable programs that were left out of the fold.

In this scenario, schools such as Lousiville, Stanford, Arizona, Colorado, TCU, and Duke among others were all left out.
