the “rest” of the ACC are more attractive than the leftovers from the B12. Even if FSU and Clemson leave the other schools are in more populated areas and have better academic standing than most of the B12 schools. Most ACC schools would be a better fit for B10 than the B12. Most of them aren’t jock enough to go to the SEC. If they decide to repopulate the ACC that conference would most likely still be stronger than the B12.

The Pac-12 and B12 were mainly reliant on a couple of schools for all their clout.

I think this graphic pretty clearly shows that USF belongs in the ACC. Our TV numbers are going to skyrocket once we actually start winning consistently again. This graph includes some of the most difficult USF football to watch.

It will not be 6 + 6.

The CFP board has to formally vote, but the Management Committee has already made it's recommendation.  The change will be formally approved when the CFP Board meets in January.

College Football Playoff leaders continue to move closer to adjusting the postseason format in the wake of realignment.

ah I hadn't seen that. Interesting that it was dated before the article I posted.still needs unanimous support from presidents though.

Getting into the acc (that only loses fsu and clemson, maybe 1-2 more) is the only thing that could save usf football.

That, or independent.

I feel like, institutionally we are ranked kind of low. I wonder what the consider “institutional” and how they came up with that ranking?

The chart says "2024 US News Best Colleges Ranking" on the bottom.

The article you posted on NCAA .org is the current situation... and yes it does require unanimous support, which everyone expects to happen.
