Perhaps... but look at the sources of revenue  (Wazzu is slightly higher than USF, which is slightly higher than Oregon State when you strip the "blue" parts of the graphs below.

WSU and OSU need to eat a slice of humble pie. Same goes for VT, Cal, KState, Utah and ISU,etc.. of the world.

These 2nd 3rd tier power 5 schools are going to have a harsh realization.

The core idea of your story very likely happened but with Oregon and Washington instead of the LA schools. They were probably setting themselves up to follow the LA schools by asking for unrealistic tv money.

Lol yeah. That is the beauty of AAC teams getting about $7M. They are hungry a bigger payout and will be celebrating over an increase

Rather than pages upon pages of ramblings, is there any actual rumors / news on the 4 AAC teams interested in the PAC 4?

Not sure I am all that excited with the PAC 4, especially with their lame TV deal with Apple TV. VP Kelly can't do better than that?

Well, I dont mean it in that respect when the Big12 teams are getting 3 times that amount. Moreso in that when they get left out and they have to survive off the peanuts like we do that WSU and OSU are now realizing.
