Lucky? He recruited them. That’s not luck.

Yes it was because he basically had to change his coaching philosophy to save his job. He ranks as USF’s 3rd best coach in my opinion behind Leavitt & Holtz. He was wise to take the Oregon job

That is what I was thinking too. Seeing the WSU crying to the media how tv money is destroying college football is comical. USF already has been through it with the big east falling. I don’t think USF has recovered yet from that. Hopefully they see what is all going on and get rejuvenated and start kicking ass like they did during the Leavitt days

Sucks for them. Over a hundred years of either the PAC or it's predecessor the PCC. But thems the breaks. Got to ride along for a good while. The bottom tier teams in the B1G and SEC are good for a while but not forever. 👀

Early 2030’s are going to be here before we know it.

Also known as my early 60s. I don't want to wait that long. Just in case, if you know what I mean...  Carpe diem I suppose. Gotta try to enjoy what we have while we have it.

That dude said Arizona by end of week, ASU shortly thereafter.  Meeting out here in minutes.

How many local sports reporters have mentioned USF going to any conference?

But a winning streak in the P6 with a championship.... 🤔

Alright and a bowl win against SEC/B1G team that lost players to nfl is helpful.

What is this winning streak you are speaking of in the p6 conference? It has been forever since we have been streaking and AResco doesn't want the AAC referred to as p6 anymore. I am sure his overlords put him in his place back at the little kid table.

There is no spinning it, if you just beat unbranded cupcakes the only national attention you will get will be about what a joke you and the teams you play are. A winning streak without P5 wins is nothing.

Beating the unbranded cupcakes seems to have helped ucf get noticed, and promoted.

NY6 games, winning those, the championship stunt and building a brand that inserted itself into the national discussion helped get them noticed and promoted. People neither have an idea nor do they care about what they did in the aac week in and week out.

If I told most people that we won the aac every year since its inception they wouldn’t be able to/bother to fact check me.

Each aac game that you play a little part of your program dies inside, win or lose it is still a march towards obscurity and irrelevance.

Which aac game do you have circled on your calendar?
