The logic never added up 1. Big 12 can get any company out of about 100 or so companies to sponsor their championship game. The only advantage is how much fedex is willing to pay over fair market value. 2. Fedex is a private company which means it too has investors to answer to. Either it was a good business decision to sponsor the B12 CCG (in which case it still is) or it wasn't. FedEx is not someone's person slush fund it is publicly traded company.
