yeah leaving money on the table guaranteed in your contract along with FedEx sponsoring your championship says other wise

What money is lost? They can still have their championship game AND get a sponsor. The question you have to ask yourself is why would they choose a school with no academic credentials?

This is not devastating news to us. We likely would not have gone to the BIG 12 this expansion and we would be stuck in an even more watered down conference. I think the AAC has quite a bit of potential as it is and I think the league will only continue to grow from a perception stand point in the near future.
