I agree with all of this but if you don't think the most important position in college football is the QB I don't know what to tell you. Look at our recent (or maybe not) success and the fall of UCF this year.

What I’m saying, is the qb doesn’t play defense. Our defense is playing not so well. So in terms of importance, we need a massive amount of help on defense. This is an area where our quarterback does not play. So, if a qb played the best game of their life, it might not amount to anything. I repeat might. He needs to step up, but in all honesty our successful teams had players on both sides of the ball.

It seems like McClain has taken more vicious hits in his 4 games than Flowers did in his entire career.  Flowers was way more elusive than McClain and knew how to void the big hit.  I know it’s still early but right now McClain has not wowed me.

He’s not a running quarterback.

The last two games, Timmy has looked like a True Freshman.

We gotsta play much better against Temple. Quicker decisions needed.

Go BULLS !!!

I agree they need to develop a gameplan to fit his strengths.

LET'S GO TIMMY...LET"S GO TIMMY

I may get chastised for this(it's ok) but, I would like to see our #2 QB start this week against Temple. McClain although talented still isn't there yet plus, he has been beat to death because he runs the ball so much. Let's just see WHO the #2 guy is and see what he brings to the field.

Not a bad idea to give the kid a rest, but I say give him the 1st half then evaluate.  If you have two qbs you got none.

When you need conversions late the coaches have got to find a way to allow their mobile QB to make plays.

Keep Timmy in!

He needs the work.

Also, we'll probably have two more Fr QB's coming in for 2022.

He played hard but has got to figure out a balance of when to run and when to throw it away.  This will take some time and hits like he had yesterday will help him learn.  IIRC, he did a little better in the second half. That being said, more plays should be designed with a check down to RB or TE until he can figure it out.  That would mean the OL has to be able to hold for more than 1 second though.  What a dilemma.

No catches out of the backfield on Saturday.  Need check downs to Battie and Joiner and Felix.  Get the ball to the speed guys in space.

Average runner and passer so far. Something needs to click or try another guy for second half of temple game. Wouldn't hurt....
