It probably does.  If five can't get there, drop them back in coverage because we are weak there.

That’s terrible they had them in third and long and they had a chance to pressure the quarterback and they didn’t pay the price

Then bring six. You can’t give a decent college-level QB five+ seconds to find someone. DBs can’t cover that long and it’s almost a guaranteed positive play.

Or 7-8.  And we'll get picked apart.  But let's send 'em!  Hopefully we get better and don't need to send the house to rattle a mediocre QB.

Agreed, at least if you're running a 3-man front, send a LB on a blitz 75% of the time, give them at least a 4th rusher to deal with.
