Actually no. USF won't be an underdog against Temple... and it's 50-50 against Tulsa.

Also, let’s hope we beat Tulsa and they don’t become ranked by the end of the season. They are a little ahead of us in the projection,  but I don’t want more excuses for losing.

And if we win 1 or even worse none, does that mean it’s okay to call it as we see it or will it mean we have to dig a little deeper into the magic bag of endless excuses?

And if we win 3 or more can you admit that just maybe you were wrong? If we win 1 or 0 the rest of the way I will be happy to admit I was wrong

You know that isn't going to happen

I’ll say I’m wrong right now if it helps make you feel better. My only position at the moment is we shouldn’t change coaches, we shouldn’t have hired CJS to begin with and hired one of our previous coaches, CJS is responsible for a portion of the woes he is facing and his current approach to success does not appear to be a fruitful one and I would like for him to try something different (which I am positive at the end of the season he will make at least one coordinator change of the two he never should have hired to begin with, and strangely it will not matter for their fate that there was Covid and they didn’t have their players). I want CJS to be the coach that people pretend to see but I can’t pretend with them when everything I see tells me it’s not true.

We should have had that W against SMU. Don't care about their ranking.

Don’t know how you can say that definitively, there are so many things that could have also happened positively relative to SMU.

Have you been in our locker room for a comparison? And when your losing teams broke their streak, was it against teams they were huge underdogs to?

Maybe we are unique but I’ve never been in a situation where the first loss didn’t hurt the most and each passing loss didn’t become less important. It’s human nature to at some point tell yourself you don’t care and aren’t trying because no one wants to think their giving their all to fail every time.

There is no way as a coach you aren’t aware that losing begets losing and the reaction wains the more it happens

Never had or supported such a losing mentality.  Never accepted any losses at all.  Never had a player that did - had a winning culture.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.
