The two big wins by Cincinnati are looking less and less important. I really cannot imagine them making it to a  4 team playoff. Particularly, with the remaining schedule including us.

It's amazing what that program has been able to do, seems like they don't miss when it comes to hiring head coaches. Only took Fickell two years to get them from 4 wins to double-digits. Ahem.

You are right it is amazing they never seem to miss when hiring coaches. Yes, they did strike out with that last one, but it is an exception.  I also think they have less competition in state as their main competitor, Ohio State, will always get theirs, as well some Ohio recruits to Michigan. But, they do an awfully good job in getting the rest. I am willing to bet that they will challenge for the big 12 title pretty quickly.

Fickell is saving that in moving expenses, plus by turning down Ohio St he is probing his worth. When the next big fish comes knocking they will throw big money at him, plus Cincy will throw money at him to stay.  His brand will come out

Fickel is an Ohio native. That's his home and Cincinnati allowed him to stay there. Plus his other P5 offers were trash. Im sure if Taggart went to FSU first, he wouldn't have bolted for Oregon. Hence why he is still coaching in the state of Florida.
