I’m not saying I agree with it but I think this staff is content with the DTs that remain and feel other positions are more lacking.

  • We are ranked 106 out of 128 teams in rushing defense.
  • We are ranked 126th out of 128 teams in sacks
  • We are ranked 96th out of 128 teams in total defense

WTF do you mean the staff is content with the DTs that remain? They better not be!!!

Which of those programs do you think USF can legitimately claim to be better than or offer more to?

I'm not saying we are better than any of the teams I circled, but we are on the same level or higher  (in the case of JMU). Those are all G6 or FCS schools i circled.

Coaches may have watched film and decided these guys were not worth a shot or better off waiting until the spring.

I guess. We shall wait and see

Relax!  I didn’t say I agree with not trying to upgrade the DT position.  I recall some saying that the lack of production from the DL in the run game and pass rush was more due to putrid play from the DEs not necessarily the DTs.  If there’s any position that separates P5 from G5 it’s the DL so I’m all in favor of upgrading whenever we can.  Also, every returning DT is either a grad student or senior.  If we sign a DT in February, we could be left with 1 returning DT which is ridiculous.

My apologies. My anger wasn't directed at you my friend. It is aimed at CJS due to my impatient-ness . I personally only want one DT and DE transfer this year. I dont think we need to stock up until next year. I like Thad Magnum and Blake Green are good, but we need 1 more run stuffer and 1 defensive end that can give us at least 4 sacks on the year.

Yes.  A JPP or George Selvie would be nice.

If we can get a DE that can give us 25% to half of their production I would be satisfied. My standards aren't that high. 😔

People ***** about USF football/Athletics but then are shocked when players may not be knocking down our doors to come here ....

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
