I am not sure what "story" meant either. ... oh yeah, the story of the fastest rising football program in I-A history.

Thought that may have been what you were talking about ......... but unless we "chose" to decline an invite to a P5 conference during all the shuffling, the end of that story wasn't in our control.

But the story started looking a lot more like a tragedy before that final act and we had authored the story of our decline before the powers that be decided to codify our fall from grace.
