Colts select Jonathan Taylor with the 41st pick in the draft. Marlon Mack’s replacement. Maybe not this year, but pretty **** soon.

Can they trade him to the Rams?

My first thoughts when seeing Taylor taken by the Colts is that, at the least Marlon is not getting a second contract there.

RBs are always on a short timeline, but ****. I thought he had another year or two as the primary back.

Yup. He’ll catch on as a FA somewhere, if the Colts don’t trade him this year. It sucks for Mack for sure but he still has some time left in the league as a productive RB and will catch on somewhere. Taylor is a beast so it’s hard to blame Indy for taking him where they did.

Marlon Mack had his first 1000 yard rushing season last year. Plenty of dope highlights. They would be a fool to trade him.

They didn't trade up to draft Taylor to sit the bench ... for long

You don't draft RBs to learn the position. You get them to squeeze every ounce of their life out of them and move on.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
