’Not Dead’ isn’t a healthy prognosis.

IMO that won't be a problem.

Scott Frost was able to make an arrangement to finish the UCF gig as HC and do USF.  It Scott is willing to step away from recruiting and just coach, I think something can be worked out.

Same for staff and facilities.  USF needs to make a commitment to land a big fish like Scott.  Though I'd say we need to bigger buyout as an assurance if we dedicate resources to facility upgrades and coaching staff pay.

Kirby Smart did the same thing - he basically worked two jobs before finishing the NC game as Alabama's DC.

It has to be lawyer stuff at this point. Hard to imagine it's something that would "kill" the deal, but likely quite a bit of negotiating & revising

I can see him haggling over coaching staff budget and facilities.  He will want an IPF and maybe more.  And he will want to pay his coaches so he can pull in better assistants.

God I hope Mike Kelley and Associates are a lot smarter than Mark Harlan and who ever he used.

Have to imagine staff budget at the very least was discussed during their initial meetings. The way this has all went down seems like a contract wording issue

Guest Jonesy Bull

It wouldn't be USF without high stakes and drama.  Nothing is ever easy for our ole Alma Mater.

Make it happen MK but don't give away the Bank.....No Pressure!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
