What a great hire that would be. He would only be here for two or three years bout it would be two three glorious years for us.

The current passion meter for the USF coach is Some may confuse bad language with emotions getting the best of one's self, but that's logic getting the best of one's self. Having a coach that cares, that wants to win. That will prepare his team. If you can't celebrate victory how can you strive for it? Leavitt obviously left a huge, deep scar on the meek. With Judy and Dougie gone, I hope we start hiring real football coaches or just give it up altogether. This is a still shot, but could actually be a video What gives it away is no one in the background is actually moving .... Leavitt left a deep scar on Leavitt, no one else. I’m sure given the opportunity he would do things differently. He’s never gotten a sniff of a HC job since his firing. No one ever moves in the background of a still photo. I must have not understood this one. Leaders come in all shapes and sizes and have countless approaches. I’m not one who cares for the profanity laced approach, but hey, to each his own. I’m more about celebrating victories, learning from defeats and never getting to high or to low. My approach isn’t for everyone. I get it.

It shouldn't be hard to admit. Just like many were scarred by the plateauing of only winning 8-9 games/season. I'm not even sure why you brought Leavitt into this thread. Did he have a potty mouth, too?

I do get the sense that Strong has lost his passion as a HC and now just coaching for a paycheck since his job at Texas failed. The quicker we release him the quicker the program can rebound back and it won't take that long with the recruits within 100 miles of the school. This one looks like he actually enjoys what he does. I guess winning does that. Edited November 10, 2019 by NewEnglandBull

Did he have a potty mouth, too? Because when it comes to the need to keep emotions in check, Leavitt is an example that we all know about. He's also right about Leavitt leaving a deep scar on no one but himself (assuming he was actually guilty of what he was accused of).

Thank G-d our coaching staff is smart enough to never put themselves in a position where that could happen.
