I feel so bad for MW relegated to blocking becuase of our O line. And he never complains about his new role. He had more touchdown catches already this year than he had all season last year! Yeah I believe ford fits what he wants to do. If you watch the Valdosta state games on YouTube you will see a explosive receiver core that are natural wide receivers running routes and never dropping passes. I believe Ford fits what bell wants but he’s suspended. McDoom was open 3 or 4 times last week and the UConn game and qb missed him. I believe Horne is more of a track guy than natural wide receiver. Watching the games he struggled early in season running routes and creating space as a receiver. Bell had 1 senior receiver at Valdosta state that is on practice squad with chiefs. Also 2 more were all conference as sophomores. He also has another Receiver in the NfL from small school Jacksonville going on his 4th year. I believe ford was going to have a big year. First game playing vs ga tech he scored in slot and then had 100 yards the 2nd game. It sucks he is suspended to see what he could have kept doing in Ckb’s system! We don’t have no one close to him right now as a game changer. That makes ckb Job even tougher. Probably why we have offered a couple juco receivers for guys to play now. Awesome! Now that you chitted on him, he should play much better now. You are good luck

He is an an example of the physical ability only being 1/3 important as maturity and mental preparation. Oh, well we’ve got a pretty long list of Johnny Fords in our football history..,

He caught well last year...at least mostly, with some excellent numbers. I think some WRs just lose focus if they rarely get targets. Not excusing that, but just my feeling. With Barnett now done for the year, and McCloud's throwing hand banged up, passing game may struggle. Hopefully the OL can pound on defenses to lighten the QB load. What came first, the drops or the declining targets?
