CCS told Joey that he has yet to receive clearance from the NCAA. Could be a diversionary tactic, but doesn't make much sense, given the fact that he is a CB. Doesn't really change game planning too much.

Note: We run a 4-3 base defense and not a 3-3-5.

Though obviously 3-3-5 will have it's place.

We need to be flexible depending upon the match-up. A 3-3-5 will probably serve us better against UCF, but the 4-3 will be better for Wisconsin. Hopefully, we see good adjustments and growth from everyone (players and coaches included) all season long.

Hopefully Macon has a solid understanding of the defense and assignments already. As much as anything, Nico was the QB of the defense last season and knows everyone's assignments. His leadership will be missed on Friday.
