I thought he was kind of a long-shot for us, buuuuut just remembered his father played football at USF. I'm hoping there is some kind of emotional tie with his father playing here.to He has visited USF already. He is making his decision on the 28th.This might be our 2nd DT of the class and second 4 star recruit. I probably jinxed everything with this post, but my fingers crossed.

He is big...but looks more like a nose guard. Would like to see a little bit more explosiveness and nastiness.

I like my DTs or Nose Guards to stuff the run more than get to the QB.

Even at that, he needs to be disruptive and be able to shed blocks. I just don't see it yet.

How does a nose guard look as opposed to a DT?  I thought that was a matter of the defense the DT got put into... like 3-4 vs 4-3.  That tends to determine whether or not a big guy is at DT as opposed to NG.

This kid is good... really good.  He has incredible hips and for a guy that size it's not common.  He plays with leverage, doesn't get moved off the ball, aggressive at the point of attack and has lots of room to get better. He seems to like bull rushing but I noticed he uses a couple of advanced moves for a kid in high school.  A couple of times he uses a rip inside move and a club and punch.  Kid plays a lot of 1 and 3 technique, I don't expect to see him in much 5.  He he's light on his feet and is explosive enough.  Kid is going to be a monster.

Well I'm saying that he needs to be inside in any defense. I just see the ability to disrupt consistently and he is slow off the ball.

I see that O-Lineman Ethan Watson is not a fan of Clyde Pinder's commitment video.  I can't lie,  Clyde Pinder is starting to look a bit vain, but I guess its the new recruiting culture.

What is Pinder doing that’s “new” to recruiting?
