Marquez Valdes-Scantling is likely to start opposite Davante Adams, according to a report from ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. (Rob Demovsky on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

According to the report, Valdes-Scantling has impressed in training camp and looks poised to be the Packers’ No. 2, opposite Davante Adams. The former has received praise from Adams, who said, “I think this offense is really catered for a guy like him.” Valdes-Scantling was impressive in limited action last season as a rookie, catching 38 balls for 581 yards and two scores, and notching a pair of 100-yard games. His role as the No. 2 comes at the expense of Geronimo Allison (who is likely to play primarily in the slot) and Jake Kumerow. With a healthy Aaron Rodgers and the support of coaches and teammates, Valdes-Scantling could be in for a big leap in production in his second year, making him a value pick at his current ADP of WR57.

Part of the best offensive class we have ever had. Or best professional class. However you want to look at it.

Stud player.  Funny I always thought Adams would be the one to make it big at WR. But for whatever reason he decided he was done with FB.

Adams has a crazy, somewhat funny YouTube channel.

He did. I enjoyed watching it. Last I heard he is now a  professional model.

Still has his youtube and he's into a lot of things. I would have loved to see him continue playing in the NFL, but he's doing pretty well for himself and he seems genuinely happy.  I dont think he has a single regret.

Good for him. I loved his open personality and general demeanor.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
