Good to know. Disappointing, most definitely. You don’t have a very good team if you can’t win without one player. IMO: Laura is the best player and a senior leader. Happy to keep you informed!! Disagree with you there. Love Laura but she and Kit together would have made this team go.

That goes without saying, but the team should be able to “go” without her.

That goes without saying, but the team should be able to “go” without her. The team has performed without her. They beat Oklahoma the first game without her and then beat UCLA. The loss to North Carolina was by 2 points and could have gone either way. Kentucky is a perfect 8-0. We will know more about how good they are once they play Louisville on December 9. I think the team will be 11-3 (maybe even 12-2) after non-conference play. I really thought we had a great opportunity to go 14-0 or 13-1 with Laksa in non-conference play. The conference also appears to be improved this season, so games against Temple, ECU, UCF, and Tulane will all be tough. I could see us going 11-5 or 10-6 in conference play. With Laksa we were probably looking at a 13-3 or 12-4 record. Assuming we win 2 games in the conference tournament, the question would be is a 24-9 or 23-10 record good enough to get into the NCAA tournament?
