QF and BJ where all sand lot players. Scramble around until someone gets open deep and then chuck it. USF has racked up a bunch of wins that way, but neither of these guys could win a game on their arm alone.

Well that’s ridiculous. How could an arm alone even take a snap?

Lol, an arm alone would be on his butt alone without a stellar O-line, which we've never really had. Sand lot QBs are our bread & butter, bro.

Barnett will be the greatest QB at USF ever if he doesn't get hurt. Our first pro prospect since Steven Bench.

With that being said, I am not typically a believer in Players who land at three different schools with two years of play remaining.

This is a good point, but maybe he just wasn't cut out for that level of competition.  The step down may bring out his best.  Or the possible background reasons for the transfers could rear their head again.  We shall see

@Calibull

Said in another thread that he believes that B.B. will be the best QB to ever play for us. I gave him so much crap during my “down with QF he can’t throw” moments that I am inclined to believe calibull is dead on until proven otherwise.

I know he said, paraphrasing, BB will take us to places higher than we've ever been before but that wouldn't necessarily make him the best QB to ever play for us ..... if he did use those words, my bad.

Barnett is USF's first real QB if he can stay healthy unlike AW.

This statement should generate some responses.

That's pretty much the only reason that statement was made ......... only rational reason, anyway.

If and ONLY if we can keep him away from those South Tampa carwashes.

    "There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

    "For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
