I also find it inexcusable that a team like UAB can miraculously get a stadium after having a year of no program but all we can do is talk about it. I believe like USF has been doing, UAB is leasing an off-campus stadium (in downtown Birmingham). Course was to get all the other stuff done first - Sun Dome, Baseball, Softball, Track, Soccer, etc., then turn to football. All of that was being done about the same time our Football program reached its peak in terms of interest and attendance...opportunity missed. I know, it's unfair. Hindsight is 20/20. They are, but it isn't a 65,000 seat NFL stadium. The stadium will be built primarily for UAB.

Still...not to shabby for a program that was recently shutdown...

Pretty sure the soccer and baseball/softball stadiums have some miles left on the tires. Baseball opened in 2011 so only 7 years young.
