They expect Georgetown to run through that field.

I expect Georgetown to run through that field .... although it's not your Horace Broadnax's G'town, the rest of the field is incredibly weak.

My hunch is that we will get FAMU in Tampa as part of this tournament.

This site actually shows the tournament dates for Jamaica November 16-18.    Also USF will be a host team,  meaning they will play Cent Conn, FAMU, Campbell and Austin Peay at the Sun Dome,  then down to Jamaica to play the other schools.

I think only one of those at the dome, not all 4. Like I said, I bet FAMU to keep travel costs down.

Is this really a tournament? Or another one of those just play a few teams? I remember back in the day the TAMPA TRIBUNE sponsored the USF Holiday Tournaments. I saw Michigan, Clemson, Purdue, etc. play in the Sun Dome. They would have USF play and easy team first then a Michigan would blow them away in the championship game.

Looking at last year's tournament, not sure there was a set amount for games not played in Jamaica. Tulane hosted 2 teams, one before Jamaica and one the following week. FSU just played the two games down there ...

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
