Maybe not.  There are a lot of moving parts here and if you don't finish well then you may  get passed by other teams that do finish well.

1 ER through 5 innings today, 8 other starts with 1 ER or less.  That's pretty good.  He did suck in 3 starts, but it happens.  I think the Conference Pitcher of the Year got lit up for the 3rd time this year yesterday.

This bullpen wasn't going to make it through 12 outs. its just too much for them. Sad part is we still have to play for our AAC lives today. Best player on the field  has been a so. relief pitcher from Wichita.......and Alec Bohm.

Our bullpen has done its job, bats just haven't produced.

But that's the rub with Shane, you're never getting more than 6. It's like having Mike Trout in your lineup, but he's only getting 2 ABs and then you have to pull him for a pinch hitter in the 6th every game.

They have done well I will agree, I was more or less saying that the deck was stacked against them.
