I don't have the same hindsight there. At half, I felt like we were lucky to be up by more than a TD, and it just didn't have a feel that we owned the game until the 4th Q.

Conceded, my perspective is still clouded by horrific flashbacks to that-team-that-shall-not-be-named in 2013, but SJSU's start made our spring/fall reports look like nothing but propaganda. So yeah, a 20-pt win over SJSU isn't "barely", but still felt like more of an escape than a confident W.

This.

I was there and there was virtually no sense of relief even once the clock read 00:00

The gutlessness was so overpowering, any sense of victory was nonexistent

I don’t think we lose any production at RB next year. The only question is does this tandem perform better than last years?

Another question, do they have DJ's hands as receivers coming out of the backfield?

Even more important question: who will inherit the "DJ" threads???

We ran off 28 straight points in the 2nd quarter .... 42 points total and 548 total yards. I think the first quarter of that game clouded a lot of  memories.

Yes it did. As I go further along in my life I remember only a play or two of certain games.  The first quarter of that game is what I remember. The Notre Dame game, Kayvon's runback of the fumble and the weather delays.  L'ville circa 2005, Amari's kickoff return and I believe he threw a pass for a  TD.  Auburn I remember missed FGs and the last pass to Hester.  Funny, the McNeese State game I remember the first offensive play that went for a TD.  The first play of the Skip Holtz era (don't remember the team) was a WR screen that he told the women at the camp that he was going to run and it went for a TD.

This could be a fun separate topic. What play or plays do you remember from various games?  We will all recall the fumble forward and 4th and 24 but other games might be interesting.
