Hope he goes to UF and he pulls a Texas on them.

I’d love that. Any p5 team that hires him is stupid. There are numerous better coaches out there.

As someone posted earlier this week in another thread, hubris and stubbornness.

Yes.  I can’t believe people are so attached to the “millionaires” beef. Money doesn’t make you smarter - especially when it is dispensed like gum balls in this business.

You can be so bad they pay you millions to leave. Wish I could go to work, do a horrible job, then get paid millions to go home. Sounds like a dream to me.

That’s how it goes when Universities are spending other peoples’ money.  And then the HC making $5 mil a year has a lot of pressure removed.  Still, Strong or anyone else doesn’t become good or great because overzealous spending of others money to “win now”.  It’s a great racket.

Agree about taking the timeout on 4th and  24.

We have had worse losses. Since we still have the head to head with UCF, and that is all that matters, we just need to keep winning.

I agree he may be overrated, but he walked onto a mess at Texas. He should not have been expected to do miracles. If he stayed at Texas, I don't think it would have been fair to judge him till this year.

that is a myth. texas was like 9-4 the year before he got there. he created the mess by kicking 8 or so players off the team. primarily for smoking pot. you think that ever happens at major college football programs?

Lots of truth, like business executives. Once you are in the club your'e in and results seem to not matter and you easily move around despite failures.

That only goes so far though in the business world.  Eventually you get forced out.  You'll suddenly leave the company to pursue other opportunity and be thanked for all your contributions in a blast email.

And then retire on the millions you've made.

With a golden parachute and probably end up on another board.
